Funds Descriptions (partial listing)
Funds for the betterment
of the community
- Fort Recovery Bicentennial Fund established after the 200 year celebration to support the community parks
- Fort Recovery Community Improvement Fund established for community improvement needs
- Fort Recovery Harvest Jubilee Fund established for support of Fort Recovery community
parks. Annual donations from Jubilee
profits made this fund possible and was intended for the long term support of
the parks.
Funds for specific medical
disorders
- EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome with Dysautonomia) established to provide financial support to persons
in the Fort Recovery community suffering from the EDS disorder. The fund is intended to reimburse both direct
medical expenses and indirect expenses incurred as a result of providing care
for a person with said disorder. EDS is
a genetic disorder that effects connective tissue in the body.
- MPS 3 (also known as “Sanfilippo Syndrome”) The fund is
intended to reimburse both direct and medical expenses and in direct expenses
incurred as a result of providing care for a person with said disorder. The fund was established to provide financial
support to persons in the Fort Recovery Community suffering from the MPS 3
disorder.
- Myotonic Dystrophy established to provide financial support to those individuals and
their families suffering from the disease.
It is a multi-systemic genetic disorder.
It is a form of muscular dystrophy that impacts cognition and brain
function in addition to impacts on the heart, lung, muscles, gastrointestinal
system, and many other parts of the body.
Other Funds
- Gifts of Grain
– This fund established as a means of farmers to donate to the Fort Recovery
FFA program when marketing their grain.
All funds donated are for the use of the agricultural program at Fort
Recovery High School.
- Fort Recovery Agriculture Fund – this fund was established for the long term support
of agricultural program so vital to the Fort Recovery community.
- Veterans Monument Plaza – Remaining funds after the
completion of the construction of the plaza to be used for future maintenance
of this beautiful addition to the monument park.
- H.O.P.E. (Helping Others, Providing Encouragement) This fund established to help those needing support
for any reasons. Distribution is
determined by Board members. Requests
are welcome. A good fund to donate to
and know that you will make a difference in someone’s life.
